Omer Sagheer

Omer Sagheer’s expertise encompasses various skills, including operations management, project management, business and strategic planning, and financial management. He has a deep understanding of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards, complemented by advanced proficiency in Excel and extensive experience with ERP and financial visualization tools such as SAP, D365, Oracle, NetSuite, and WD. His analytical mindset is further enhanced by his adept use of Salesforce and CRM systems.

Since January 2020, Omer Sagheer has been the Owner and Operator of AZS Global, a consulting and financial leadership firm. In this role, he provides management and guidance to executive teams, develops comprehensive business plans, and implements effective financial management practices that improve cash flow and profitability. His strategic negotiations with vendors have secured favorable terms, reducing operational risks and enhancing performance trends through meticulous financial reporting and consolidation. Omer’s extensive experience in financial and insurance regulation, cost accounting, and journal entry preparation has been instrumental in setting industry standards for new business locations.

Before founding AZS Global, Omer Sagheer served as VP of Finance & Treasurer at Scoular Company, a top 10 agriculture company, from August 2008 to September 2019. During his tenure, he led cross-functional teams to launch innovative financial tools, contributing to significant cost savings and business growth. His collaboration with department heads ensured strategic alignment with corporate goals, while his management of multi-million-dollar budgets optimized resource allocation and achieved cost efficiencies. Omer’s leadership in financial planning, forecasting, and change management initiatives facilitated smooth transitions during periods of growth and restructuring.

Omer Sagheer also played a pivotal role in mergers and acquisitions, successfully integrating acquired companies and developing strategies to establish long-term business objectives. His efforts culminated in consolidating the organization’s budget process and developing a new FP&A department with embedded leads in business units.

From August 2005 to August 2008, Omer was the VP of Business Development and Marketing at White Energy, a startup renewable energy company backed by private equity firms. He hired and managed employees to maximize productivity, aligned organizational objectives with the company mission, and oversaw the construction of two facilities valued at $400 million, completed on time and within budget. His oversight of FP&A operations, budget implementation, and capital needs for equity and debt financing was crucial to the business’s success.

Earlier in his career, Omer Sagheer was a Commercial Loan Officer at First National Bank of Omaha from October 2000 to August 2005. He streamlined the loan approval process, managed a diverse portfolio of commercial loans, and collaborated with credit analysts to ensure accurate risk assessment. His market research identified untapped opportunities, expanding the bank’s commercial lending portfolio and assisting clients in understanding their financial positions.

Omer holds an Executive MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where he also earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance. Additionally, he has a degree in business administration in finance from Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

Omer Sagheer’s accomplishments include leading 15 mergers and acquisitions, implementing CPM and treasury software, and spearheading ERP implementations in SAP and MS Dynamics.
